Junior Integration and Energy Management Engineer
An application engineer is required by a company working on saving energy in buildings using state of the art software, hardware and debugging techniques. The role will involve reporting to the Systems Integration Manager, Senior Management. The role will also involve working with Facility Management Companies, System Integrators and the Company Development Team.
Responsibilities:
- Survey Building Management Systems and Facilities.
- Generate reports on Building Facilities and Energy Analysis
- Use Company Software Tools to generate building profiles for Energy savings.
- Liaise with Building FM Managers and Contractors
- Manage efficient integrated solutions to the Building
Requirements:
- Graduate / Technician of Computer Science, Electronics and or Electrical Engineering or related to Energy Use in buildings
- More than 3 years experience in Building Management Systems Operation and Building facilities.
- Knowledge of different types of plant for building management systems (BMS) and how to optimise the interaction between different types of equipment in a building
- Ability to analyse energy use in buildings
- Ability to generate clear reports related to energy use in buildings
- Must also be able to diagnose and solve problems with building plant equipment and interface to the BMS.
- This role will also entail working and communicating clearly with customers and providing customer feedback to the development team.
- Must be willing to travel and have good presentation skills
- Good communication skills to deal with development team and customers
Desirable Attributes:
- BMS Software / Hardware development and debugging skills
- Experience with Trend, Cylon or other Building Management Systems
- Knowledge of protocols used in BMS
- More than 4 years experience in software/hardware development and BMS integration development
- Software / Hardware development and debugging skills
- Will have experience with customers on buildings and providing an efficient integrated solution.
- Will have experience with software development tools and methodology including debugging techniques.
