The promoters of Lightwave Technologies are:
- Mr. Alan Kearney, CEO
Mr. Alan Kearney, is a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology in Building Services and holds an MSc in International Sales Management. He has over 20 years of senior management experience in the HVAC industry, including Cylon Controls and AK Environmental Services. He also works closely with Enterprise Ireland and Dublin Institute of Technology on business programmes for export focused Irish companies.
Mr. Nicholas McNulty, Founder and Director of Technology, is a graduate of Trinity College and the University of Limerick in Electronic Engineering. He has extensive experience in commissioning computerized industrial process control systems internationally for heavy and light industry, and has acted as a sensor specialist in the heavy industries area. He designed one of the world's first computerized home control systems using mains-borne signalling. He also has extensive experience in mobile and public telephony systems.
Dr. Ian Packham is Project Manager and Senior Research Scientist at Lightwave Technologies. He completed his PhD in Computational Intelligence Techniques applied to Engineering Design in 2004, shortly before he joined the company. These studies were undertaken at the University of Plymouth, UK, where he also completed his MSc. During that time he published six conference papers and three international journal papers. He has extensive experience in teaching, researching and the application of artificial intelligence techniques, such as neural networks and genetic algorithms, as well as statistical, data mining and interactive visualisation techniques.
