Energy Management Bureau and ESCOs are in the business of saving energy usage within their clients facilities. Traditionally this necessitated the use of mainly manual based tools such as "Monitoring and Targeting" where a baseline energy savings is agreed with the customer and this is targeted by the ESCO. The exercise usually involves elements of analytical tools and the implementation of an energy awareness program within the facility. This approach sometimes may have a significant, although, typically limited success, as with the cessation of one or more programs the facility degrades back to the original level of energy loss.
By partnering with Lightwave Technologies, ESCOs can deliver true automatic Energy Management Bureau type services to their customers. By maximizing their customer's energy saving, the ESCO is, in turn, maximizing his own saving. Although, the service provided by Lightwave Technologies is deemed "Powered by ICE", it can be own-branded by the ESCO who licenses the service to his own customer. The ESCOs can also the grow in size as ICE can automatically manage hundreds or thousands of customers.
